HON. ERIC UWAKWE, SPECIAL ADVISER ON YOUTH MOBILIZATION PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE

 The Honourable Special Adviser to the Imo State government on Youth Mobilization, Hon. Eric Uwakwe today, December 17, 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma.


The Special Adviser and the Commissioner used the opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues concerning the state, particularly ethical policing, youth participation in security and preparations for the overall welfare of Imo people during and after the Yuletide season.


The Special Adviser thanked the Commissioner for his exemplary leadership and techniques in modern policing which has restored relative peace, law, and order in Imo state. 


He assured the Commissioner of Police that Imo Youths are always ready to collaborate with the Personnel of the Nigeria Police Force to combat acts inimical to peace, security, and welfare of Ndi Imo. 


Speaking in the Commissioner's office, Hon. Eric Uwakwe stated, "I am here with notable youth leaders across the State in pure solidarity with the Police especially in this yuletide season. In line with the Executive Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma's stance, the security, and the well-being of Imolites is non-negotiable. I want to assure the CP and his men that our doors remain open for effective collaboration."


On his part, CP Danjuma Aboki thanked the Special Adviser, Hon.Eric Uwake, for taking the initiative to visit him.


"I am further encouraged by your visit today. The commission and entire Police command are delighted to have you, especially in the company of Imo Youth leaders. We consider this visit a kind but strategic gesture that will open more avenues for effective policing, bearing in mind that policing is a shared responsibility between the police and the people, " he remarked.

 The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said that the state government will pay government workers salaries on June 14th ahead of the Sallah celebrations.
