 The Executive and members of Osaro Onaiwu Support group congratulates the Winners of the just concluded local government elections.


In a special way we Congratulate the Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki who provided the needed resources and manpower to enabled the people of the state to have a credible and violence free election.


We Congratulate the State Chairman of our Party, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Tony Azirgbemi and entire PDP Family for the acute mobilization of it members that resulted in a land slide victory for the party. It is indeed a great sign of our party's acceptability, strength and growth.


We urge all elected officers to dispense their constitutional duties with utmost sincerity.


The Local Government; being the third tier of Government is strategically positioned to meet the immediate need of its constituents. On this note we urge all elected officers to be sensitive and responsive to the needs of their people.


For the rural Local Government Areas, we urge the LG executives to look into expanding the business base of these area and help prevent this massive rural-urban drift. Keen attention should be paid to improving the ease of doing business.

 The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said that the state government will pay government workers salaries on June 14th ahead of the Sallah celebrations. The governor said this during the commissioning of the State Secretariat Complex on Wednesday, in Benin City, the State capital. According to him, “I have heard all the accolades about the minimum wage. I assure the workers that it is not a fluke. We are a very deliberate government that sits back to do our work. You know that for the seven and half years since we came into office, we have paid salaries on the 26th of every month. “In cases where we have holidays, we pay our workers before the holidays so they have money to celebrate. In that same guise, we will be paying the salaries for June on Friday 14th of June ahead of the Sallah celebration to enable you to have a good Salah.”

 Former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Anti Human Trafficking, Comrade Solomon Okoduwa said the choice of Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Osarodion Ogie as the running mate to Asue Ighodalo's PDP Governorship ticket as a political masterstroke that would guarantee victory for party.  Okoduwa, who spoke to newsmen in Benin Thursday shorty after he inaugurated a grassroot campaign group with the sole objective to mobilize support for the Asue/Ogie governorship ticket.   He urged Edo Voters to queue behind the PDP candidate and his running mate to sustain the gains made by the Godwin Obaseki 's led administration.
