OSARO-ONAIWU JNR CONGRATULATES GODWIN OBASEKI AND THE ELECTED MEMBERS OF THE EDO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

I would like to congratulate Edo State Executive Governor Godwin Obaseki, the Edo PDP leadership, and the newly elected members of the Edo House of Assembly on their victory in the main and supplementary elections.


Despite the unsettling and complicated political makeup of Edo State, our party succeeded by winning the necessary majority, protecting our state from unnecessary diversions from chaos mongers.


These results speak for themselves, and they are a vote of confidence in the leadership of our great party, led by the affable Governor.


I sincerely applaud the excellent people of Edo State for not succumbing to the intrigues of propagandists and for their faith in the PDP.


I'd like to use this medium to urge new members elect, of whom I believe to be people of high character and conscience, not to be sidetracked by election victories and instead to focus squarely on excellent representation and good governance for the sake of our beautiful state and people.


The Governor's dedication to excellent administration, human capital, and infrastructure development has not wavered. As a result, we must all offer him the encouragement he needs to finish strong.


I once again congratulate the newly elected members of the Edo State House of Assembly, as the people of Edo eagerly await a robust and meaningful collaboration between the state legislature and the executive.

 The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said that the state government will pay government workers salaries on June 14th ahead of the Sallah celebrations. The governor said this during the commissioning of the State Secretariat Complex on Wednesday, in Benin City, the State capital. According to him, “I have heard all the accolades about the minimum wage. I assure the workers that it is not a fluke. We are a very deliberate government that sits back to do our work. You know that for the seven and half years since we came into office, we have paid salaries on the 26th of every month. “In cases where we have holidays, we pay our workers before the holidays so they have money to celebrate. In that same guise, we will be paying the salaries for June on Friday 14th of June ahead of the Sallah celebration to enable you to have a good Salah.”
