 It is with profound joy that I write to congratulate you on this great feat. Another prominent Edo son, being placed on the national map as a catalyst for good governance and institutional reforms. 


Having served as the 18th indigenous Inspector General of Police (IGP) and head of the Criminal Intelligence and Investigation Bureau; the foremost intelligence-gathering unit in the Nigerian Police, we're confident that your experience and capacity to bring forth strategic reforms and development to the Nigerian Police Force is not in doubt. 


Please remember, just as you've vowed to tackle issues of corruption and prioritise officers welfare, we also urge you to look deeply into the aspect of recruitment of competent men. Through a process that is all encompassing; laced with mental and psych-motor test, to ensure that the newly recruited officers would have the psychological foundation for modern day policing. 


Nonetheless, do something about the prompt promotion of these our officers and men. This is imperative because, a man who consistently puts his life on the line in an attempt to protect the life of a fellow citizen must be kept motivated at all times. 


Once again, we celebrate and congratulate you. Be rest assured of our unflinching support in ensuring the success of the commission under your leadership.

 The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said that the state government will pay government workers salaries on June 14th ahead of the Sallah celebrations. The governor said this during the commissioning of the State Secretariat Complex on Wednesday, in Benin City, the State capital. According to him, “I have heard all the accolades about the minimum wage. I assure the workers that it is not a fluke. We are a very deliberate government that sits back to do our work.
