I Use Comedy To Promote Social Justice, Says MC Casino

 Lawrence Osarenkhoe known in the entertainment circle as MC Casino says his comedy career is fundamentally aimed at promoting social justice.


MC Casino hails from Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State but grew up in Benin City, the Edo State Capital.


He cut his comedy teeth at the University of Benin as an undergraduate where he won the hearts of many students.


The one time Vice President of SUG, UNIBEN who is passionate about the rebranding and restructuring of Nigeria said his comedy career has primarily been used to disuade social vices among the youth.


According to him,  my comedy promotes and preaches good governance. I use comedy to fight societal ills like cultism, prostitution, irregular migration and drug abuse." 


"I make comedy skits to fight those things in order to promote a more sane society. I did short movie to discourage cultism and the effect in our society.


While expressing worries over the rising cases of drug abuse, cultism, and other social ills, he appealed to all relevant authorities to join hands with him to discourage and curb the availability of hard drugs in the society.


The polished comedian speaks Queens English, Pidgins and slangs to entertain his audience.

 The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said that the state government will pay government workers salaries on June 14th ahead of the Sallah celebrations. The governor said this during the commissioning of the State Secretariat Complex on Wednesday, in Benin City, the State capital.
