Benin substandard roads: handiwork of NDDC contractors

There's been a lot of hullabaloo since last Wednesday sequel to the roads in Benin metropolis arrested by flood, especially, the just asphalted Apostolic Street, Off Sakponba road; one of the numerous bad job done by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

While sympathizing with victims of the momentary flooding, let me say prestissimo that the Obaseki led-progressive-administration is working assiduously to transform Edo State to El Dorado.

In furtherance of the aforesaid, It is regrettably lugubrious that some microscopic few, jailed by hatred ever since the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki politely told them that he will not service anybody with state fund, ganged up thus unleashed a storm of nitpicking occasioned by mere frustration thereby sponsored some intellectual dwarf to flood social media with misleading pictures as well as video clips, crediting NDDC bad job to the state government with no reference to the N30bn previous administration's storm water project flushed into private purse.

Governor Godwin Nogheghase Alaghodaro Obaseki surrounded with eggheads will not award contracts to Lilliputians. By contrast, NDDC have history of considering political patronage as criterion for awarding contracts. Just now, the untrained eyes who specialized in just asphalt has taken no cognisance of the fact that asphalt and rain is not a good mix. It will definitely giveway.

Therefore, I urge all and sundry to join voices with the Special Adviser to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Special Duties, Hon. Yakubu Gowon, calling the NDDC to collaborate with the Ministry of Infrastructure to ensure that a good job is done when constructing roads in the state.
