YOUTH GROUP SAYS NO VACANCY IN OSADEBAY AVENUE

Youths under the auspices of Returnees Ambassadors have asked the Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki to contest the 2020 governorship poll in the state for the interest of the masses.

Returnees Ambassadors are made of thousands of Edo extraction returned migrants from Libya and some European countries.

The returnees majorly youths who said the governor is on the right track, advised all other gubernatorial contestants across party lines to wait till 2024 for the Edo exalted seat.

According to a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Anti Human Trafficking Issues, the youths were quoted as saying “Governor Obaseki is noiseless yet he is working.

 There is hardly a neighbourhood he has not impacted. From Edo South, Edo Central to North, his good works are evident.

“A great number of the returnees have been reintegrated and empowered. He has also set machinery in eradicate the scourge of human trafficking in the state. Massive infrastructural development, education (EDOBEST programme) there is sanity in Edo politics and many others.

“If anybody is complaining about the governor, they are simply those who want him to share the state hard earned resources. We want him to continue use the money for job employment, roads, schools and others.

“Again, we want to remind those who have selfish interest to contest for the governorship seat in Edo State to wait till 2024 as there is no vacancy in Osadebay Avenue. We want Obaseki to complete all the good things he has started. We are also ready to mobilize to buy the governorship interest form for him.”
