One of his victims, 16-year-old Anthony Shedach, was discovered to have been infected with HIV in the process. 60-year old man in the dock for allegedly impregnating a minor

By Ehis Agugu Matthew Omokhafe, a 60 year old farmer who hail from Igarra (Ojirame-Afe village) in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State was on Tuesday, docked at the Igarra Magistrate Court for countlessly having unlawful carnal knowledge of a child aged 13-years against the order of nature and in the process impregnated her sometime last year, 2018. The survivor (the victim) told court that her biological father died sometime in year 2012. "The accused, Matthew Omokhafe is my mother's close friend. He forced himself on me when my mother sent me to his house to collect two hundred naira from him and threatened that if I tell anyone, I will die, Victim testified." Father who impregnates daughter changes plea in amended charges

By Osagie Otabor, Bénin A 53-year old man, Jacob Alonge, who was accused of impregnating his 17 years old daughter, has pleaded not guilty to the amended charges preferred against him. Jacob had earlier pleaded guilty to the charges but changed his plea to not guilty on January 23 after the death of all witnesses in the case, including the victim and her unborn child. All the witnesses, Gift Alonge, her Uncle Ukere Adagbogu, Rhoda Braimoh of Braveheart Initiative and Promise Ezekiel died in an accident on January 16 on their way to attend court sitting for sentencing of Jacob. Noble Sunday, Benin City Youths under the auspices of Returnees Ambassadors have asked the Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki to contest the 2020 governorship poll in the state for the interest of the masses. Returnees Ambassadors are made of thousands of Edo extraction returned migrants from Libya and some European countries.
