The rescue of the two year old baby was facilitated by officials of Child Protection Network (CPN) and Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development (MWASD). The Chairperson, Child Protection Network, Jennifer Ero who condemned the inhuman treatment assured that no stone will be left unturned until the Parents are fished out for deliberately maltreating cum manhandling the baby. Jennifer Ero explained: "good Samaritans in the community who usually feed him through the window because no access to the house informed her to intervene in his rescue before the child will die in the hands of his Mephistopheles parents". She added that the child was neglected for months, thank God the child survived with the help of good Samaritans around and no one seems to know the whereabout of his parents.
