BIRTHDAY FELICITATION

It is with deep ecstasy that I, on behalf of my family as well as the officials and members of Solomon Iyobosa Edebiri Centre for Change (SIECC), heartily felicitate you on the occasion of your birthday today 1st of July 2017.

We are glad that God has kept you to witness yet another new count of life. We pray that He continues to direct all your affairs in fulfilling your dreams and aspirations both for yourself and the good people of Edo State. 

Without mincing words, for the brief period you have occupied the hallowed chambers at Osadebe Avenue you have endeared yourself to the people with your developmental strides as you have displayed a genuine desire to set the state on the path of progress through designed programmes meant to promote agriculture, industrialisation and job creation among others, many of which have already been set in motion.

The quick pace at which you resumed your duties immediately you were sworn into office portrays how committed you are to the welfare of the people and it is noteworthy that you have been able to achieve quite a lot even without a cabinet and we believe that with the recent screening and prospective appointment of commissioners to constitute your cabinet, the State will yet witness a speedy developmental pace.

As today marks your birth, we can only wish you more grease in fulfilling your electoral promises and also in ensuring that your name is crested in gold in the hearts of the good people of Edo State and we also wish you a sane mind in a sound body in fulfilling this onerous task before you for the good of the people of the State. We believe that you will not be swayed to leave the current path of development you are currently treading.

May God continue to strengthen you and make your endeavours fruitful and we know that in time considering your current strides, the good people of the State will have cause to smile.

 The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said that the state government will pay government workers salaries on June 14th ahead of the Sallah celebrations. The governor said this during the commissioning of the State Secretariat Complex on Wednesday, in Benin City, the State capital. According to him, “I have heard all the accolades about the minimum wage. I assure the workers that it is not a fluke. We are a very deliberate government that sits back to do our work. You know that for the seven and half years since we came into office, we have paid salaries on the 26th of every month. “In cases where we have holidays, we pay our workers before the holidays so they have money to celebrate. In that same guise, we will be paying the salaries for June on Friday 14th of June ahead of the Sallah celebration to enable you to have a good Salah.”

 Former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Anti Human Trafficking, Comrade Solomon Okoduwa said the choice of Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Osarodion Ogie as the running mate to Asue Ighodalo's PDP Governorship ticket as a political masterstroke that would guarantee victory for party.  Okoduwa, who spoke to newsmen in Benin Thursday shorty after he inaugurated a grassroot campaign group with the sole objective to mobilize support for the Asue/Ogie governorship ticket.   He urged Edo Voters to queue behind the PDP candidate and his running mate to sustain the gains made by the Godwin Obaseki 's led administration.
