Comrade Adams Oshiomhole's Birthday message to his successor Governor Godwin Obaseki

Your Excellency,

 As you celebrate your 58th Birthday "I join your family,friends,political associates and millions of well wishers in Edo State and around the world to celebrate your life of achievement  especially in the service to humanity.

You are indeed a worthy successor and in just few months you have convinced the most critical skeptic that you are committed to sustain the tempo of economic regeneration, infrastructure development and human empowerment,  which we both agree constitute the right panacea to take Edo State to the next level.

I'm particularly proud that through your eagerness to deliver dividends of democracy  to the people of Edo State, you have justified our insistence from the onset, that you are the best predisposed to provide continuity in the state where we spent eight years laying a solid foundation from the ruins we inherited.

I have no doubt  whatsoever  that as the  years goes by, your exceptional capacity to mobilise  available resources and channel that to credible projects for the benefit of our people will become manifest and endear you to the good people of Edo State.

Mr Governor 'Wake and see' I wish you good health, long life and greater fulfilment in the years to come..

 The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said that the state government will pay government workers salaries on June 14th ahead of the Sallah celebrations. The governor said this during the commissioning of the State Secretariat Complex on Wednesday, in Benin City, the State capital. According to him, “I have heard all the accolades about the minimum wage. I assure the workers that it is not a fluke. We are a very deliberate government that sits back to do our work. You know that for the seven and half years since we came into office, we have paid salaries on the 26th of every month. “In cases where we have holidays, we pay our workers before the holidays so they have money to celebrate. In that same guise, we will be paying the salaries for June on Friday 14th of June ahead of the Sallah celebration to enable you to have a good Salah.”

 Former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Anti Human Trafficking, Comrade Solomon Okoduwa said the choice of Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Osarodion Ogie as the running mate to Asue Ighodalo's PDP Governorship ticket as a political masterstroke that would guarantee victory for party.  Okoduwa, who spoke to newsmen in Benin Thursday shorty after he inaugurated a grassroot campaign group with the sole objective to mobilize support for the Asue/Ogie governorship ticket.   He urged Edo Voters to queue behind the PDP candidate and his running mate to sustain the gains made by the Godwin Obaseki 's led administration.
