Edo govt. backs movement for propagation of gender equality
Edo State Government has expressed support for the Movement for the Propagation of Gender Equality in the state. Mrs. Barbara Osobajo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Development and Gender Issues (MSDGI), expressed the support while receiving the Edo Focal Person of UN Women’s HeForShe initiative, who was on a courtesy visit to her. According to Osobajo, right from when female children are born, they already know themselves and their rights in the society, adding that there is nothing they cannot achieve. “With the support of the male gender, women can achieve their potentials in every aspect of life,” she said.
