Okoduwa appreciates Switzerland migration adviser

 The Executive Director of Initiative for Youth Awareness on Migration, Immigration, Development and Reintegration (IYAMIDR), Comrade Solomon Okoduwa has appreciated Jolanda Pfister, a former Migration Adviser to Embassy of Switzerland in Nigeria. Okoduwa, the immediate past Senior Special Assistant to Governor Obaseki on Anti human trafficking and Irregular Migration made the appreciation in a letter wrote to her on Sunday. He said Pfiszer created a mutual relationship between her office and the people. The Human activist is optimistic that the incoming adviser will extend such relationship with his office and the the country at large. Obaseki to recruit 725 new professionals into civil service

The governor said this during the Alaghodaro/Inauguration 2020 Thanksgiving Service, held at the New Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City. Obaseki said he would in his second term focus on strengthening the civil service, which is the engine room of government. He said advertisement for the new positions will soon be published for interested persons to apply. According to him, “About 725 vacancies have been declared. Within a month, the recruitment of a new generation of professionals would commence in earnest. Obaseki appoints Osarodion Ogie as SSG

 The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has approved the appointment of Osarodion Ogie Esq., as Secretary to the State Government. In a statement, Governor Obaseki said this was the only political appointment to be made for now. He added that all other appointments are deferred to the first week of February, 2021.

Foundation sensitizes pupils against human trafficking, Donates notebooks

 In continuation of its back to school campaign, RuthChild Foundation in collaboration with Niger Delta Power Holding Company, NDPHC, on Tuesday cautioned pupils of some selected primary schools in Uhunmwode Local Government Area to be wary of human traffickers may want to traffic them abroad. While addressing the pupils at Eyaen Primary School, the foundation’s Focal Person, Comrade Solomon Okoduwa donated over three hundred notebooks to the pupils on behalf of the foundation. He said the exercise is aimed at exposing the activities of human traffickers and how they lure young ones. Okoduwa said they will not rest on their oars until the perpetrators of the evil in the state are arrested and prosecuted accordingly. “We are taking the campaign across the eighteen local government areas of the state. A gugu Members of Edo Volunteer Voters Assembly (EVVA) pertinaciously led by Comrade Austin Osakue in the early hours of Saturday, enthusiastically partook in the Edo state-wide community cleanup drive thus evacuate debris amid rubble that amassed in the wake of the brigandage that greeted the hijack of the EndSARS protest in the state. The voluntary exercise is sequel to the pre-event activities for the 2020 Alaghodaro Summit as well as, inauguration of the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, for a second term in office.
